On Monday, I took the initial glucose (sugar) test at the lab and my results were....normal! I don't have gestational diabetes. Not that I was worried, okay I was just a little bit. But I am safe and so is our baby!
Some other great news, Paul can now hear our little girls heartbeat just by pressing his ear against my tummy. I had him hold my pulse on my neck to make sure that he wasn't just hearing my heartbeat and he said, "Nope! That's her alright!" Those moments are so precious to me. It's really real. I can't wait to meet my little baby angel.
Last night, I actually had a dream that I did meet her! I dreamt that I delivered and got to see her cute little face! I stared at her for hours and analyzed every little bit of her. She had a full head of dark hair, chubby cheeks and she was smiling already. Ahhh...I can't wait for that moment when we get to see her in person. It makes me the happiest person in the world just daydreaming about it. I am so excited to become a Mom.
PS. We are 25 weeks as of today! Just 15 more to go. My mom told me the other day that she was a week early with Barb (her first), a week late with David (the middle), and a week early with me (the last one). So who knows! But we all know I'm hoping for a week early...I want to share Thanksgiving with her. Either way, I have a lot to be thankful for. :)
