12 Week Doctor Appointment

And the winner is....a girl!! (Well, maybe...because a small part of the time it kind of looked like a boy). So we'll see what the gender is (hopefully) at our 16 week appointment on June 11th. They ran the ultrasound tests for downs and everything looks clear and healthy. Yeah! He or she is the size of a 12 week and 4 day old baby...ahead of the game...haha. The baby had his/her ankles crossed, arms were flailing about, and squirmed a lot. Can't wait til I can feel it :)

Today, Paul, the doggies, and I are off on our 1.5 week trip to Yosemite for a camping adventure. Right now, Paul is at the gym and I am working on the website while we wait for the Tahoe engine to get fixed. Yesterday, we were a couple hours on the road and the car engine caught fire (small one) so we had to tow it back. Needless to say, riding in the back of a tow truck while pregnant for that distance was NO picnic. But Paul and I kept high spirits, afterall, we have a healthy baby on the way and we couldn't be happier!

Today, we will be taking the first of a series of "belly" photos to see how my stomach progresses. Honestly, it doesn't look that different. :-( It only looks bloated after I've had a big meal...which basically tells me...it's food. Some ladies my size don't show in their first pregnancy until 4 or 5 months (which is 4 to 8 weeks from now). We shall see!

Ta ta!
Andrea
